  • Texas Capitol

The rich and ornate floor of the Texas House of Representatives.

  • Kayak at Sunset

I captured this shot in April of this year on walk around the Lady Bird Lake while my wife was at a writer's conference in Austin. I didn't get many good shots at all, but this one just happened right in front of me. Sometimes you just have to be in the right place at the right time.

  • The Inspection Station

This place is really an eyesore in Grapevine, but when I drove by it with those clouds — well I just had to shoot it. I kinda like it now.

  • The Big Engine

I love trains. And I'm lucky, because Grapevine has a historical train that runs daily. Usually the old steam engine is running, but this day the diesel engine was in service. It's not as quaint, but what it lacks in that quaintness it makes up with sheer power.

  • Delaney Vineyards

The Delaney Vineyards are very close to my house. I never really go there, but this night I thought "wouldn't that building look nice against this sky". I think it does.

  • Oregon Coast

Majestic, magical and mysterious. That's what Haystack rock is. People come out in the evenings when the tide is low to explore the rocks secrets and enjoy the magnificent Oregon coast sunsets. I can't wait to go back someday.

  • Stonehenge in Texas

In between the Dallas Cowboys Stadium and the Texas Rangers Ballpark there is a small park with some very interesting rock sculptures. Resembling Englands Stonehenge these large moonlights are worth the stop to walk and around and enjoy the view before going to your sporting event of choice.

  • I love old, run-down buildings

I'm learning to not judge a building by its facade. There can be visual treasures inside. This old, falling down building in Glenrose, Texas offered a great illustration of the beauty of decay.

  • TCCC at sunset

The Tarrant County Community College downtown campus in Fort Worth, Texas.

  • A Harley in Denton

Motorcycles can be works of art and in Texas there's no more popular cycle than Harley Davidson.

  • Colorado Church

A lovely church in Trinidad, Colorado shot at sunset.

  • Sky over Grapevine

Ominous clouds over the Grapevine train depot.

  • Y’all Come Back

A lovely message for visitors in Grapevine.

  • The Woodshed

Tim Love's Woodshed restaurant by the Trinity River in Fort Worth, Texas

  • Cowtown Coliseum

Fort Worth's historic Cowtown Coliseum in the middle of the Stockyards.

  • The Religious Red Door

There's something special about red doors and this one is no different. Step through to "House of God". Now that's special.

  • The Texas Capitol Dome

The spectacular Capitol Dome of Texas is as tall as the U.S. Capitol dome. Texans like the word "big".
