A quick post for today—The Lancaster Theatre in downtown Grapevine.
Yesterday was Sunday. Typically my family and I go to Church, but I was just tuckered out from a long week at work and the night before at the World Series Game. On top of being tired I woke up with a nasty ear ache. So, we stayed at home and took it easy. Heck, [...]
This photo was taken inside one of the many long hallways of the Gaylord Texan Resort. To give you a sense of huge this place is, I’m set up about halfway in this hallway. Yep, there is twice as much length still to go. The Gaylord Texas is huge, but not as huge as the [...]
I really enjoyed a nice sunny day, as long as it’s not too hot. This is one reason I enjoy walking around the Gaylord resort. The sun shines in, but you stay a nice, cool seventy-two degrees because you are actually indoors. This is a shot of Riverwalk area of the Gaylord Texan. Feels like you [...]
I can’t believe how early retailers start with their holiday decorations. Seems like hotels do the same as well. The Gaylord Texan has already started decorating for Christmas. You can see the garland and Christmas balls in this picture. This just seems way too early to me. We haven’t even gotten to Halloween yet. I [...]
Today’s shot is one of many little water features inside the Gaylord Texan. Enjoy.
Today’s post is a quick one. This is one of many bridges in the Gaylord Texan. I love how they’ve created these little quiet areas in a gigantic resort. They are very peaceful. Sorry for such a short post today. Now, off to the office.
I spent part of Saturday with my daughter Ellion on a photowalk around The Gaylord Texan Resort in Grapevine. If you’ve never visited this or any other Gaylord resort, you should go just to see the amazing detail to the theming. In the Texan there’s a Riverwalk area, a mission type area and desert/west Texas [...]
As part of my fiftieth birthday celebration weekend, my daughter and I attended Star Wars FanDays in Irving today. As big a nerd as I am, I’ve never attended a SciFi Convention until now. As far as these types of gatherings go, this one is fairly small. But that didn’t matter. I LOVED it. There’s [...]
Today I thought I would kick off the week with some miscellaneous shots from my San Francisco trip. These are just tidbits from around the city, but I thought them interesting. The first one above is from the library in The White Swan Inn where we stayed. This room really made you feel like you [...]
